Well, I guess the versionitis virus finally caught me despite all good intentions. I had to install SUSE 10. Since I did not want to waste a CD I opted for the CD-less installation. Read on if you are interested.

Finally it happened, the stable digikam 0.8.0 has been released. Head over there and get this killer application.
The latest stable version of SUSE (10.0) is out since a while. It seems that the experience people have with it is somewhat mixed. I decided to wait until version 10.1 comes. Everything works fine with 9.3 on my machines, so no urgent need to upgrade, other than versionitis that is ;-). Check out the OpenSUSE Roadmap.
Feel Free: Opera Eliminates Ad Banner and Licensing Fee. Finally. It’s a really nice browser which deserves a bigger user base.
I had to research a curious problem today. Apple’s address book doesn’t seems to allow the export of its data into a cvs or similar file.

After upgrading to the latest version of amaroK (1.3 beta2) I couldn’t play music anymore. It seemed that the soundengine aKode wasn’t available to amaroK anymore.
